Follow Up Care

Eye surgery follow-up care

At Hunter Laser Vision we firmly believe that post-operative care is just as important as the surgery itself.

The day after your procedure you’ll need to return to the clinic for a check-up. If you have had surface laser treatment you must also return for contact lens removal 3-4 days after surgery.

As part of your laser eye surgery follow-up care, you will also need to come back two weeks later and again at two months so we can monitor your progress. You may be able to see your local optometrist for some of these post-operative appointments if you live outside the area.

For certain procedures, such as kerarings or ultraviolet crosslinking, we’ll need to review your eyes again at six months, and for kerarings once a year after that.

During the healing period you may experience fluctuations in vision, glare sensitivity, decreased night driving and reading vision. These symptoms will mostly reduce over time and will be monitored during your post-operative appointments. For most patients improvements to their vision last a very long time and the procedure does not need to be repeated.

Hunter Laser Vision has been providing surface laser eye surgery for over 20 years. Our years of experience and training mean we can provide you with the best in corrective eye surgery. We are committed to customer satisfaction at every step.
