8 July 2016

This June Hunter Laser Vision supported a number of good causes, including assisting Marc Glanville in raising money for the Stars of Newcastle, a charity fundraiser that aimed to promote and contribute to the Newcastle-based Cancer Council that had local Newcastle personalities dancing for a great cause.

Stars of Newcastle was a dancing event that incorporated celebrities and businesses to dance and raise money for local Cancer Council support services like the Cancer Information Centre at the Cavalry Mater Hospital and free transport for those that have to travel for cancer treatment.

Hunter Laser Vision sponsored Marc Glanville and assisted Eclipse Media to pull off a fabulous afternoon at the Junction Hotel on Sunday, 19th June, where MG chatted with Paul Harragon and Michael Hagan about all things football, as well as Chief’s recent trek across Papua New Guinea with Mark Hughes. Marc managed to raise over $33,000 and all up Cancer Council Newcastle raised $225,000.

All in all, Hunter Laser Vision’s involvement with the cause was a success and the Stars of Newcastle’s success in raising money for the important issue of cancer in Newcastle has set a precedent for others that may want to support necessary and impending issues that deserve mention and support in the community.
