Hunter Laser Vision was the first Laser Eye Treatment Centre in Australia to use the Schwind ESIRIS laser, with many others following our lead. This state-of-the-art technology combined with the expertise of our surgeons ensures our patients get the very best in refractive care. Old technology has no potential for customised treatments and we are committed to achieving the best outcomes for our patients.

We have four ophthalmic surgeons at Hunter Laser Vision. They are experienced and dedicated specialists, who regularly attend national and international conferences and maintain international affiliations to stay abreast with advances in laser refractive surgery and general ophthalmology.

Dr Joe Davis

Joe was one of the original founders of Hunter Laser Vision and since the centre’s establishment in 1998, he has been helping patients to become less dependent on their glasses. Joe has been practicing in the Hunter region for over 30 years and has come to be a recognised and respected name in the fields of ophthalmology and laser refractive surgery.

Tim is one of Hunter Laser Vision’s original directors and surgeons and he has been performing refractive procedures on our local community since 1998. His extensive experience and dedication to the ophthalmic field makes him sought after and requested by patients and other specialists alike.

Ravi brings a wealth of knowledge to Hunter Laser Vision and is strongly committed to teaching training eye specialists. His expertise in ophthalmology is coupled with an enthusiasm for laser refractive surgery that makes him a passionate and committed surgeon. Ravi is also a reviewer for several high-impact factor international ophthalmology journals.

Chandra’s expertise in refractive surgery, with extensive experience and formal fellowship training, supports his ability to provide tailored refractive care. His clinical strength is strongly supported by his continued research publications and with experience and training in refractive surgery, corneal surgery, and glaucoma Chandra has a rare combination of competencies.
